Introduction By : Victor Scardella This book is dedicated to the memory of, and in honor of, my younger brother Jamie, who died of nerve cancer at the age of 21 in 1982 and my mother Marquetta, who died in 1997 and my sister in law Karen, who died in the summer of 2008. May they smile, laugh and be happy for all eternity. The stories contained in this book are true. It's not so much a group of stories but, a life. A life that I lived and a life that I remember. A lifetime of memories that I share with you now. As I share the stories that make up my life, I challenge you to try to imagine yourself in my place and going through the experiences that I describe to you. As you do that, you will discover that you will develop a new perspective on your own life and circumstances and life itself will have more meaning for you. |
