| Each
and every friend and their families were special and unique and had
individual personalities. Things that made them special and
unique, even different. I don't want to say too much in fear of getting sued by someone for maybe embarrassment or something !! Ha Ha ! I remember going to school from September till June and having July and August off. In the winter time, we would get "Snow Days" off when the weather got too bad and the roads were too treacherous for travel. So, we would listen closely to the radio for our school name to be announced and if it was, we celebrated by shouting "Ya Hoo" ! So, we got the day off from school and of course we used the time to play and have fun ! We never really went anywhere except locally, to the county fair and such. But, I think that maybe some of my friends got to travel. Oh, I do remember a Foreign Exchange student from France coming and staying with one of my friends. He seemed so exciting, being from a Foreign country and all ! It was cool to me to meet someone like that ! I always traveled in my imagination lots of times to places all over the world. I saw it on T.V. but, never really got to do it in real life. Even as an adult, I traveled some around the USA, but never to a Foreign Country ! I would love to try it sometime, just for the experience of it, before I get too old. I would also like to take a cruise on a ship somewhere, sometime just for the experience of it. |
